Uhh...

Dance!

Yes, another Monday has returned and I'm not disappointed. But I am in fact upset with the weather here in Colorado Springs. It's a scorching 90 degrees outside which happily is still better than yesterday! Talk about ridiculous. Today is just going to be a relaxing day with Andrew at the mall where the conditions are much better. Hopefully we can grab some ice-cream if it can survive in the weather. I know I can't!

Now for music Monday! I love, love, love this song. Two classic singers in one video and it couldn't possibly get any better. It literally makes me happy and want to jump around (which I why I introduced you with the first word that starts in this video, dance!). I can definitely get through today with this song. Hopefully you all can enjoy today too.
Happy Monday to all!

Your Favorite Things...Personalized!

I received this product for review purposes.

Woo! It's Sunday and I just want to kick back, relax and maybe even watch a classic movie to get my mind ready for Monday. I can't believe July is around the corner. One of the hottest month's of the year. Not so sure if I'm ready for that. I can feel the sun now. Ouch!

Well without further ado, I really want to introduce you all to a company called Glitzy Glam starring Elle and Blair Fowler who are YouTube gurus! Today I wanted to focus more on the Glitzy Glam website which is basically a place where you can go to get all of your girly needs personalized, monogrammed, or custom made. For example, Glitzy Glam offered me a keychain (pictured above) that I was able to personalize all the way down to the very last detail including my name.

The process was all very easy! You can pick your own belt, ribbon, monogram color and font. The belt is the thick background that holds everything together. For example, I chose a white belt color and for my ribbon to layover it I chose the "Pink & Navy Surfboard". My font was "Modern Block" and I decided to have my name written in gray thread in all lowercase (there is a maximum of ten characters for your name). There are so many options to choose from (literally, you can probably customize a keychain 100+ different ways) and this can be a perfect gift for anyone.

What I really do appreciate about this keychain is that it's made out of really great material. It's not a flimsy threaded piece that can take someone five minutes of their time to do. The belt is REALLY thick but not bulky and the name is sewn onto the ribbon nicely. The keyring itself is also decently size and can hold multiple keys (sadly I only have 1 key total). And the best part of all is that it's super cute because it's partially made by you!

For $17 you can build your own keychain with your name or you can choose from a variety of other options for less such as pre-made designs with your initial starting at $6 (on clearance!). Not a fan of keychains? Not a problem! Glitzy Glam has tons of products to choose from such as school essentials, jewelry and drinkware just to name a few. Shipping starts at $4.50 (international starts at $5.25) and varies depending on your order. I'm definitely going to write Glitzy Glam down as my go to personalized website. This is a great website to buy cute little gifts for my girlfriends.

Thanks Glitzy Glam for the awesome keychain!

Let's Hit Snooze! ZzZzZzZz

I received this product for review purposes.

Oh hey there!

So before I jump right into this awesome product review, I think I'll start off with a few quick questions. Do you use your iPhone as an alarm clock? Do you absolutely hate waking up and attempting to slide that little bar across (while half asleep) to snooze for a few extra minutes? If you answered yes to both of those questions then p.s. - we're just alike and there's a solution out there for us both!

Introducing the one and only Snooze iPhone alarm dock by Distil Union!

This alarm dock is the perfect accessory for your nightstand and can be a new home for your iPhone. Made out of warm solid wood and non-slip rubber, its minimal design is not only attractive, it makes it all much more easier to use. The rubber top of the Snooze aka the snooze bar lets you not only snooze your alarm but can also function to quiet those late night incoming calls all with a happy (or sleepy) slap.

The Snooze alarm dock is compatible with iPhone's 4/4S and 5/5S/5C. Sorry Android! It also comes in two classic colors, white (pictured above) and black for a price of $34.99. That little hole that you see there straight ahead (sort of centered) is to keep your cable from slipping away. It also comes with a stopper to make sure your cable is securely fit (pictured below). I decided to place the stopper upside down but I'm sure right side up is fine too. FYI: cable is not included with your purchase of a Snooze

And here is my new home for my iPhone! My absolutely monstrous sized armor series OtterBox case that I was currently using was unable to fit which was not a shocker (you can click here to view your case compatibility with Snooze). The white rubber removable insert makes it easy to fit most slim cases or naked iPhones'. So pictured above is my naked iPhone 5 in its Snooze. There was a little extra room for my iPhone to move around with the insert but not enough to the point that it'll fall or slide out which can be most of our fears.

Overall I can't have enough of my new Snooze! It will look marvelous on your nightstand and won't take up much space just like an average sized alarm clock. I love that my iPhone is able to charge and look great with this minimalist beauty.

A bonus for having a Snooze is being able to enjoy the free Snooze App that's available on the iPhone App Store. It automatically turns your iPhone into a classy alarm clock. The alarm is super easy to set up. You can go into settings to customize everything from snooze time to adding multiple alarms. I love that all you have to do is swipe left to dim your iPhone or right to brighten before heading to bed. There are also a few in-app purchases that are optional for an even better experience. And of course you don't need a Snooze to enjoy the app. It's just a bonus!

Here's a cool video of the Snooze in action by Distil Union!

And now for the big surprise!

Why brag about such an amazing product without letting you all have the opportunity to experience it for yourselves? So you know what that means right? Besides the fact that Distil Union is awesome of course, they're giving one of you lucky readers a chance at winning a Snooze with your own choice of color. How great is that?!

UPDATE: Sadly I won't be able to have you all win an awesome Snooze but in exchange maybe you'll be up for purchasing one for yourself! Distil Union is offering all of my lovely readers a 25% coupon code off your entire purchase. Just use the code KRXSSY!25 at checkout. It's live and working right now and will expire on the 20th of this month at midnight. Yay!

Brand Spotlight: Library of Flowers

TGIF!

I just thought I'd share a quick something with you all on this lovely Friday. Don't worry, it's not necessarily a review or anything too exciting. But I thought it was worth a post! I received these super cute sample sachets of a variety of handcreme by Library of Flowers this week and I couldn't help but fall in love with not only the design of the packaging but the amazing scents. Gosh, they're pretty! I also couldn't believe that they are made right in Denver, Colorado which is only miles away from where I am.

On every packet there's a statement that says "We invite you into the Library of Flowers where moments are captured in artful perfumes waiting to be released upon happy whim". They have such a way with words. My favorite overall is the Linden (pictured on the far right). I had a feeling that I would love this one since in my opinion the packaging stood out more from all of the rest. It has a soft smell of flowers and honey and it moisturizes great! You can check out the rest of their products on their website by clicking here

I hope you all are having a great Friday!

My Top 7 Favorite Summer Samples!

Hi there!

Today was a seriously super duper lazy day for me. I spent all if not most of my time laying in bed and playing video games with Andrew. I was so out of it that I couldn't even think about what to blog about today! Yes, I know, shame on me but of course I was able to think of something.

That's when it hit me. I have tons and tons of samples from Birchbox and Ipsy especially. Of course there are the ones that I absolutely despised and then there are some that I loved so much it didn't make it to be featured in this post because they're done. So I thought I'd narrow it down to my favorites that I currently still own then I narrowed it down even more to my favorites that totally work out for this season. Why top 7? I told Andrew to pick a number between 1-10. So...here we go!

  • Ever since I received this spray in my limited edition Modern Mermaid box by Birchbox (check out the post here) I couldn't stop using it. Usually after washing my hair I spritz a bit of this spray and let my hair air dry. It creates a textured look and smells as if I just returned from the beach!
2. Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser (via Birchbox)
  • This is what I like to call my "go to basic cleanser" that refreshes my face instantly on summer mornings. I can't believe I've had it since my February Birchbox! It can remove anything from grime to makeup and leaves my skin nourished. At first I wasn't so happy about the smell of the grapes and sage but it eventually grew onto me. :)
3. DDF Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew (via Birchbox)
  • Honestly, this moisturizer barely made it to be featured in this post because it's almost finished. I've also had this since my February Birchbox and am very grateful because it does exactly what it's supposed to do which is moisturize and leaves my skin dewy soft. Also thank goodness the sample size was generous!
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel (via Birchbox)
  • I seriously didn't know the purpose of brow gel until a few months ago. Ever since my April Birchbox, I've been hooked but never really had a chance to splurge. This brow gel is another product that's basically finished but I couldn't help but including it in this post because it's amazing! It keeps the hairs straight and stiff so that my eyebrows looks defined without over tweezing.
5. Perlier Body Cream in Shea Almond (via Birchbox)
  • This super duper moisturizing body cream has such a natural smell of sweet almond oil that I can't help but carry this around on the go. It even works great as a hand cream. I received this in my June Birchbox and it's already a favorite!

  • Now I noticed that most of my favorites were introduced to me through Birchbox (which wasn't planned) but there was one (if not more) summer essentials that stood out to me by Ipsy. I really wish I was able to give you every detail about why this beach spray is so awesome. I can go on and on! I received this in my June glam bag and fell in love. My number one reason is definitely the smell. You have got to smell it for yourself to trust me on this one. Ooh la la.

  • Last but surely not least is this wonderful cologne that screams "it's summer"! This is yet another beauty that was introduced to me in my limited edition Modern Mermaid box by Birchbox. I tend to fall for anything citrus-y but don't worry, this is not an overdose.

Where's Your Protection?

I received this product for review purposes.

Year-Round, Anti-Aging Protection.

Now you may know that we all need some kind of sun exposure as it's our natural and primary source of vitamin D. But did you know that most people have enough sun exposure for a lifetime before the age of 18? Shocking right?! So what are you doing to keep yourself protected from the sun's harmful rays? If you're totally clueless, it's ok, I think I know of a company that can help!

Meet COOLA - the organic suncare collection that you'll most likely need right now!

With a lineup of the amazing COOLA SPF sprays, pictured above (on the left) is the one and only sport spf 30 unscented sunscreen spray. It's perfect for all skin types and active outdoor sports.

I can instantly say that I love this sunscreen! It's not like your average "sticky" spray. It goes on smooth and clear without a problem and also without that slightly weird sunscreen smell. P.S. - There are other scents available such as pina colada and citrus mimosa and spf levels that you can check out by clicking here. Even though it's a spray, this sunscreen still manages to hydrate your skin and is water resistant for up to 40 minutes while keeping you protected with a broad spectrum of SPF 30.

What makes this sunscreen and the brand COOLA even better is that they use certified organic ingredients. It's not only green friendly, but it's also vegan friendly, cruelty free, and recycle friendly. Now that's just one friendly sunscreen! There are over 70%+ certified inactive organic ingredients such as organic algae extract, organic cucumber fruit extract, and even organic strawberry fruit extract. Don't get me wrong, there are still active ingredients with names that you may have a hard time being able to pronounce (I sure do!) but COOLA can guarantee you that the purpose for those ingredients is for the sunscreen itself so it's safe to use. An added bonus is that it's also infused with anti-aging oxidants!

At this rate you're probably wondering where can you locate this, how much does it cost, and how much you're getting for your buck. You can purchase the sunscreen I'm reviewing on COOLA's website by clicking here which costs $32 for a 6 fl oz can. Ok, so yeah it may sound a bit pricey but there's a cool catch. A portion of COOLA's profits are donated to cancer research. Not only are you splurging, but you're splurging for a good cause!

Another really cool product that's available by COOLA are these super convenient lotion bars such as the unscented natural hand lotion bar pictured above. These are meant for you to hydrate your hands before, during, or after your day out in the sun. The tin is ideal for easy on the go travelling and keeping your lotion bar solid at room temperature.

At a solid state, it's super easy to just grab this bar and get moisturized. The ingredients consist of organic shea butter, organic beeswax, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, organic jojoba oil, and vitamin E. As simple as that! Even though it's unscented, my first thought was that this lotion bar smells a bit like play-doh but once it was gently rubbed on my hands the scent faded. There are also body bars and other scents available for the lotion bars such as orange patchouli, cucumber melon, lavender chamomile, and grapefruit peppermint that you can check out by clicking here. You can purchase the lotion bar I'm reviewing on COOLA's website by clicking here which costs $12 for a .50 fl oz tin. A little surely can go a long way with this one!

Overall these are both neat products that I can genuinely recommend to anyone. Everyone needs sunscreen so I highly do recommend a sunscreen with a SPF of 15 or higher to be added to your beauty regime pronto. Also don't hesitate to enjoy all seasons with COOLA! :)

SinfulColors Summer 2014

I received this product for review purposes.

This summer is filled with excitement with all of the new arrivals hitting the shelves. Here's a new summer collection of nail polish from SinfulColors that'll hopefully be in your area (and on your nails) soon that I'll like to introduce to you!

It's definitely time to slip into summer with these gorgeous and vibrant "pedal to the medal" shades from SinfulColors. Pictured above, the all new Full Throttle collection features five shades in rubberized textures. I received three shades to review in the picture above (from right to left) in "Rubber Ball" a passionate pit stop pink, "Burn Rubber" a fiery-fueled orange, and "Rain Rubber" a brilliant burnout blue. The collection will be available for $1.99 each exclusively at Rite Aid for July 2014 and Walgreens for August 2014.

Rubber Ball

This super hot pink is one I can fall in love with easily. I own colors that are quite similar to this and I've gotta say that the rubberized texture made this shade all the better. It's both rubbery and slightly bumpy. The pink color can come off as a bit "loud" with a hint of magenta. The polish itself goes on and off without much effort and dries pretty quick. I used two coats over my bare nails (even though one coat looked just as good) and I am pretty satisfied about the result. Definitely a summer staple color that I look forward to wearing again.

Burn Rubber

Now this was a new experience for me. I've never tried any orange shades because I'm usually a classic nude, pink, or red kind of girl. With just two coats I won't ever hesitate to use this shade again. I believe it literally screams summer and it's a fun shade to show off. I can definitely say I'm a new fan. :)

Rain Rubber

What a lovely blue! Now this is a color that I think can work for multiple seasons such as spring and summer. It's totally not your average blue either. The shade is bright but not enough where I would consider it a neon. If you would rather it slightly darker I would suggest adding about three coats.

Overall I truly love this collection. If I had to choose a favorite I would definitely pick "Burn Rubber" because of it's hot hue. The texture is also something different than your average polish and the price is very inexpensive compared to others.

That's not all...

Introducing yet another wonderful collection from SinfulColors for this season. With these "sinfully luxurious" shades, you'll definitely want to try them all. Pictured above, the all new Silk + Satin collection features six shades in a demi-matte silk texture. I received three shades to review in the picture above (from right to left) in "Pipaya" a soft flash of coral, "Solar Flux" a subtle touch of yellow, and "Prime Purple" a delicate dose of lilac. The collection will be available for $1.99 each exclusively at Walgreens and other mass retailers for July 2014.

Pipaya

I'm a huge fan of coral as it's such a classic mix of pinks, oranges, and red. This coral shade is a much more darker reddish-orange than others I own but I don't mind. The demi-matte silk texture for this collection dried much more quickly than the rubberized textures and also smoothly in my opinion. I would recommend two coats or more for this collection specifically because of the texture. It can dry a bit streaky with just one coat unless you're possibly a perfectionist.

Solar Flux

I hesitated a bit when choosing this color to review only because it's not a color I typically turn to. Just like the "Burn Rubber" orange, it was a new experience for me and I've gotta admit that it's not a bad shade at all. I can also say that it looks way better in person than in the picture. It's a rather pale yellow color that can come off as a bit pastel-y.

Prime Purple

Last but not least, this is a shade that I'm totally familiar with only because I've been rocking lilac very often during spring. The texture however gives it the extra oomph which makes it stand out than my other polishes. The color is just perfect with two coats and a top coat will definitely add a satin shine if you're looking to get creative.

Overall the Silk + Satin collection didn't excite me as much as the Full Throttle but the shades were just as lovely. I would classify the shades I received in this collection as a spring accessory but I'm sure there's one person out there who can make them work all year round. (That might be you)! Be sure to look out for these beauties in stores soon!

I also suggest checking out the SinfulColors Facebook and Twitter pages to stay up to date with the latest collections, tips, and swatches!

Which collection are you up for trying this summer?

We Are Alive.

And my heart beats...

It's a rather rainy Monday here in Colorado Springs but that won't stop me from blogging. Ok, so maybe it did slow me down on another post idea that I originally had planned but don't worry, I'll definitely find the time some other time. For some weird reason it has actually just occurred to me that I've been blogging for over a year! I definitely don't want to stop even though I have in the past for other reasons. I really want to dedicate my time and effort into blogging as it's a hobby that has grown onto me for years and I love sharing my opinions and thoughts with you all. Hooray for blogging! :)

Now the main purpose of this post is because it's music Monday! This song is one that I've been replaying for months and I truly believe that it's just absolutely beautiful. It's soft and (at most points) and definitely puts me in the mood for today. Shakira is an artist who I've loved since I was little (ok, maybe just slightly younger) and I hope you guys will too.

Have a happy Monday!

Your Ultimate College Dorm Supplies Superstore!

With college coming up in the fall, there's so much to look forward to and so many tasks to complete that it's almost impossible to stay focus. I've probably been driving my parents crazy with wishlists and ideas for my future dorm room especially. Tuition and textbooks are already a pain but I just recently learned that my dorm room supplies doesn't have to be. That's where Dorm Co comes in!

Dorm Co is your "one stop shop for everything COLLEGE DORM". Literally. There's so much variety and the prices are definitely not the kind that makes you squirm. Everything from security to bedding, you'll surely have everything you need right at your fingertips. Also if you're thinking "hmm, surely the products are reasonably priced but I'm sure the shipping is outrageous", that's not the case at all! The shipping is actually quite inexpensive compared to most retailers with a flat rate of only $2.95 on your entire order (no minimum purchase, excludes international shipping). Another great bonus is that all orders ship in 24 hours or less so you don't need to worry about when your product will leave the warehouse.

Now I don't want to give away all of the juicy details about Dorm Co just yet as this is only a preview post. I'll be receiving a product to review and share with you all in the near future so I hope that you all will stay tuned for the upcoming review! (I don't want to spoil the surprise by telling you the product at the moment, but here's a hint, it's not a joke)!

Live. Life. La Fresh.

I received this product for review purposes.

Good for skin. Good for life.

La Fresh is definitely not a brand that I'm shy of. In fact, I've been intrigued lately with their travel lite amenities that I couldn't help purchasing them ever so often through out the year. From facial cleansing to shoe shining, the options are almost endless. I was proud to be given the opportunity to review their eco-beauty line which was a new experience for me. La Fresh describes the line as "Wet wipes with conscientiousness, luscious natural ingredients, biodegradable and compostable wipes. Free from questionable ingredients. Cruelty-free. Packaged using clean, renewable solar energy. Portable, convenient and made for modern living". They had me at luscious natural ingredients. :)

In the picture above, I decided to show one of each of the samples I received. From right to left are the Good Bye Face Cleansing Wipes (which will be available starting July 1st), Oil-Free Facial Cleanser Wipes (scented), Instant Body Soother Wipes, Waterproof Makeup Remover Wipes, and Nail Polish Remover Acetone-Free Pads.

Now these wipes sort of reminded me a bit of the travel lite amenities but with a much more natural kick to them. For example, I went straight to the waterproof makeup remover wipes only because I don't usually believe that one wipe is enough. Typically I go through at least two wipes just to get the majority of my mascara off which is just a hassle. With this wipe, I was able to use only one sachet (which is one wipe) without harshly scrubbing at my eyes. I can say that at least 95% of my eye makeup was removed without a problem. The formula for the wipes are also moisturizing and freshly scented (which goes for all of the samples I received). No more liquid or dried out wipes for me. I absolutely love these!

Not only do these wipes really work but the packaging is also a bonus. La Fresh packages their wipes in a lightweight sachet or easy to carry pouch which makes on the go travel super easy. I'm definitely going to throw a couple of wipe sachets in my cosmetic bag for emergencies. They're so light that you'll hardly notice they're there.

In the picture above is an example on how they're typically packaged for a bulk of 8 (minimum) portable sachets (eco-beauty line only, with the exception of the good bye face cleansing wipes). Another favorite of mine about La Fresh is that they're totally affordable! The waterproof makeup remover wipes pictured above only costs $5.99. (P.S. - They're a 2012 Prevention magazine awards winner! Voted the best makeup remover). Now some options may come with more sachets such as the nail polish remover and the oil-free facial cleanser wipes. But the good part is, they're all just $5.99 (with the exception of the Be Good skincare line, pouches and gift boxes).

I can definitely see La Fresh as being my handy go to company for wipes needed for any occasion. Especially for reasons such as being affordable, natural, and portable. I don't see what more you can ask for. They're basically perfect for anyone! At least in my opinion. Hmmm...I can't help but think what wipe idea will be introduced next.

What do you think about La Fresh?

Do You Believe In Magic?

I received this product for review purposes.

Here's one Hollywood beauty secret you should definitely know about.

Introducing Egyptian Magic

This all natural skin cream has been known to cure anything from burns to dry skin from head to toe. I first saw the hype about this product at Birchbox and really wanted to give it a try. The reviews were definitely persuasive and made me wonder if this stuff actually works. Sadly, my box this month didn't include the sample so when a lovely representative from Egyptian Magic themselves gave me the opportunity to review a jar I was too pleased!

I can admit to being a bit skeptical on why this was called a "Magical Cream". The packaging of the jar looked a bit like something that belongs in my grandmothers medicine cabinet (no offense granny). Sort of vintage but I didn't mind at all. I was way more interested in using the cream itself anyway. I noticed that the directions told me to take a "moderate amount" and "rub it in your palms until it takes the form of an oil". That's when I got a bit nervous. My skin is super sensitive and the word "oil" screams breakout.

So, I decided to read the ingredients very carefully which wasn't hard to do since there's not much too it and it's located right on the front of the jar (which is usually a good sign). Olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis extract was all that's to it. Also Egyptian Magic stated on their website that this product is an "all natural skin cream made from six of nature's most powerful moisturizing and healing ingredients". So, I gave in which wasn't hard because I really wanted to share it with you all.

I came to the decision that I wanted to use it as a night cream to see if I'd noticed any slight or major changes in the morning. The cream itself is fragrance free or should I say no fragrance added or synthetic preservatives. With my combination/sensitive skin this was a good bonus. It sort of reminded me of a balm but for your entire body. My face didn't fully absorb all of the oil so I was left a bit shiny which was sort of expected. I also appreciated how a little definitely goes a long way. I can tell that this jar will last at least months which is good for those who love products that can last without replacing them daily (which should be everyone)!

In the morning I can actually tell that my face was still moisturized and definitely not as shiny from the night before. My skin felt super soft and I didn't breakout! I don't think I would recommend applying this to your face following by going outside (especially when the sun is out) right away. I don't believe oil and sun will get along well on your face.

P.S. - Did I mention that this is an "all purpose" skin cream? So not only can this go on your face, but it can literally go all over your body for any reason. In my opinion it's a great hand cream and even leaves those dry patches on your knees and elbows super soft and moisturized.

Now you're probably wondering how much does this product cost and how much you're actually getting out of it. Well so far there are two options available for purchase. You can purchase a 2 oz jar for $26 or a 4 oz jar for $39 on the Egyptian Magic Online Store (shipping is not included). Remember a little does go a long way so either choice should hold you over for quite some time.

What do you think? Do you believe in magical powers?

Let's Go Pro!

Happy Friday!

I didn't know what better way to start off a Friday than by setting summer workout goals. I've been going light since I've been out of school when it comes to workouts but I'm definitely looking forward to maybe hitting the gym or going on a few jogs. Or should I say, I at least want to! Staying fit is a great thing to do especially when you're out of school like me and have another upcoming school year to look forward to.

The bonus I believe about working out is purchasing new workout gear! My obsession with Nike has certainly taken over. Can you blame me when everything is just super cute AND comfy? I think I'm more attracted to the prints if anything but I can't help but wanting them all.

I really wanted to share my focus on the Nike Pro Sports Bra I purchased. As crazy as this may sound, it's my first one! I've had the mindset that I didn't need a sports bra since I'm pretty small chested, but I was so jealous of all the cute prints and patterns that I couldn't help but want one so badly. So, I splurged!

Ok, so besides the cuteness, this sports bra has medium support which is great for light impact sports (walking, yoga, etc). The Dri-FIT fabric keeps sweat away so you can remain dry which is always a good thing. Sizes range from extra-small to extra-large (learn more about the sizes by checking out the size chart). It has a compression fit so it's snug, but breathable. Also the racerback design is excellent for support. This sports bra is overall supportive and versatile for everyday wear! Not to also mention again, super cute. The price is a pretty reasonable one too! I purchased this one specifically which is printed for $35 which is only $5 more than the plain ones. Sadly it's currently unavailable on the Nike website but there are other prints and colors in the medium support section that you can check out by clicking here.

Now I'm even more excited to get fit. Nothing's better than motivation and cute workout clothes!

P.S. - If you wanted to learn more about the Nike Pro Hyperwarm Compression 3.0 Tights that I purchased (in the first picture) don't hesitate to click the link. (They're on sale too)!

TGIF! :)

Start Young. Stay Young.

I received this product for review purposes.

Introducing Willa, the natural skincare just for girls!

Yes, I know I said "girls" and not "women" but in fact, these products are so great and natural that it's safe for all skin types (which can also mean all ages, and possibly even all genders). The background behind this company is so inspirational that it encourages me even more to take care of my skin which I try so hard to do everyday (you can read all about it by clicking here). Even though I like to consider myself pretty young (I mean 18 is young right?) I have sensitive skin that won't hesitate to break out in a heartbeat. As we get older, sadly our skin does not get younger. Willa is all about prevention and starting young, which is why I'm happy to share my new favorite samples with you guys. Yes, I also know that I have lots of favorites! Can you blame me? :)

Pictured above (from left to right) are the Start Fresh Foaming Face Wash and the Face Friendly Clear Moisturizer both in travel size portions. Usually when I think of samples, I think of foil packets or anything that can be disposed of after just one use. But not according to Willa! These samples were generously sized and can definitely last for quite some time whether you're on the go or at home. And let's not get started on the gorgeous and girly packaging. Love it!

What attracted me the most was the moisturizer. I literally thought it was a facial cleanser until I read the description. The texture is very liquid-y but don't worry, it's certainly not water. I was surprised at how well it moisturizes my face. So well that my skin can actually breathe super easy after the application almost as if I didn't put anything on. The scent is very light and hardly noticeable possibly because of the few simple ingredients. Aloe, green tea and mango extract! Absolutely no hidden ingredients and is all natural.

The face wash is also not your generic facial cleanser. It's a liquid to foam cleanser that can remove dirt, grime, oil and the remains of the day naturally! I love that the cleanser is gentle, so no excess drying over here! It's especially great to use this time of year when the sun is out and you just want to feel refreshed and relaxed. The scent is also very light with a slight hint of summer which is great since usually strong scented products can cause bad reactions (at least for me).

So what can I say? I love Willa and everything they stand for. I'm super grateful that they offered me the opportunity to enjoy these wonderful products. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

P.S. - If you would love to give these products a try, then the Travel Starter Kit might just be for you. (It also includes a cute pouch)!

EXTRA EXTRA! Calling All College Students!

Do you have...

And why yes, I'm serious. Co-Ed Supply, an awesome subscription service for college students recently suspended their subscription over the summer due to students being home from school. Now that may be sort of a bummer but they also have some new great news that I would love to share with you guys. They've recently launched a new platform called Swagger (their website will officially start redirecting to Swagger in July) which has some super exciting details attached to the name.

Swagger is a club exclusively for college students. (In order to join, you must have a .edu email address). Once you're in, that's when all of the fun begins! As a member, you'll have the opportunity to indicate personal preferences and sign up to receive free products, entertainment, and sweet deals from brands that Co-Ed Supply collaborated with in the past. They're really living up to their motto "every student deserves a better care package".

I-G-G-Y

First thing's first

I'm the realest

Another day, another Monday! I believe that Monday's aren't so bad anymore when they're summer Monday's (but Friday's are still my favorite). Also I think that the idea of "Music Monday" is becoming of me now so maybe I'll make this a good habit. :)

This week I don't have too much to look forward to besides my college orientation at CSU-Pueblo this Friday which I'm really excited about. I already have my dorm room assignment and roommate (which is Ashleigh, we met at CSU-Pueblo's open house in March) and there's still so much more to look forward to! I can't wait!

I hope you all are having a great day today!

#OOTD

Hi there!

Ok so I sort of lied with the title, I'm not actually physically wearing this outfit right now but I did want to share it with you all. It's Sunday, who says today has to be bland? I think that everyday should be bright and fun! I purchased this outfit at H&M about a week or so ago and just fell in love with it and decided, it's a good day for an #OOTD post.

I instantly fell in love with the tank top mostly because of the print. It's vibrant and sunny. When looking at it, I thought I saw sunflowers but maybe it's just my imagination. The one thing I don't like very much is the fit but that can just be the fit on me. It's very loose fitting which I usually love but it's so loose that it's almost impossible to wear without adjusting it very often on my scrawny shoulders and small chest. I still think it's a cute top and if I have to struggle to wear it then albeit!

Another interesting piece is the skort. Yes, I said it. Skort. If you don't know what a skort is, it's typically a combination or look of a skirt in the front but shorts in the back. Overall it's still shorts but designed to have a look of both from separate angles. I haven't worn a skort since elementary school so when I saw that this was turning into a "trend" at H&M, I had to purchase it. It has a concealed zip at the side since it's mostly polyester and doesn't stretch much and fits practically like a mini skirt but you'll be able to bend down since it's shorts! Yay for skorts!

What do you guys think? Love it or hate it?

P.S. - H&M is having an amazing sale at the moment! Check out your local store and grab yourself something cute. :)

That's also when I figured, hey, a $100 American Express giftcard can definitely do the trick! I can also customize it which is perfect. I am convincing you all to splurge! :)

Birchbox - Limited Edition Modern Mermaid

Now I couldn't say goodbye to Birchbox just yet. :')

Introducing the exclusive Birchbox Limited Edition Modern Mermaid box!

Birchbox is not only known for their wonderful monthly subscriptions but also their amazing limited edition boxes. This is the first one I've ever had a chance to splurge on and I'm super excited to open it!

I absolutely love the waves pattern on the box. Birchbox definitely went all out on the packaging to try to convince me that this is the real deal. Everything is just gorgeous and I haven't even seen the products yet.

Now onto the products. With three travel/deluxe size items and four full sized items I'm definitely going to channel my inner mermaid with this box. From parfum to waterproof eyeliner there's just so much variety to keep me interested.

I can never have enough nail polishes and I don't think I'll ever reach that point. I do remember the RUFFIAN brand way back from a previous Birchbox when they were first being introduced to the subscription. Sadly I received what I thought was a very unattractive color (I believe it was like a mossy green) but this trio is just lovely. I can't wait to try the blue lagoon color (on the far left)!

Typically I like to purchase waterproof mascara but hate taking it off as it can be a struggle. I actually didn't know there was a such thing as a waterproof topcoat so I'm really looking forward to waterproofing some of my favorite mascaras that aren't already that way.

I believe this is my second navy blue eyeliner that I've ever owned but I surely do love this one. It goes on smoothly and has an attached sharpener at one end and a smudger on the other!

The COOLA lip balm is a definite staple to keep in my bag especially on summer days so this was a thumbs up.

I absolutely love that the sea salt spray is made with natural and organic ingredients. It smells absolutely amazing (not like a day on the beach though) and the size was very generous even as a travel size option.

The mirror is my overall favorite in this box. It's so iridescent and beautiful. Also a bit pricey for my taste but thank goodness it was included in this box.

The cologne is also a great staple to throw in my purse on the go. It smells fresh and quite summery with a hint of citrus. Not too strong but also not too citrusy (I know what that smells like)! I really wish it was a bigger size so that I can make it last even longer. I highly doubt I'll be investing in the full size version anytime soon ($105 for 100ml) even though I'm considering it.

Overall I was super proud of the products and value included in this box. The card above is included in the box to describe each item in the box. Now the Modern Mermaid box only costs $44 which may sound like a bit much but you'll be guaranteed to received all these items that are valued up to more than $100! I can admit that I love every product (which is probably a first when it comes to Birchbox but sadly my last) and I'll be looking forward to improve my summer beauty routine.

Channel your inner sea goddess this summer! <3

Ipsy - June 2014

It's so nice that both of my beauty subscriptions showed up in the same week! I never really get a chance to check out any sneak peeks or investigate my glam room on Ipsy's website so it's always a surprise. I couldn't believe that Rebecca Minkoff is the new collaborator for this month's cosmetic bag. I think that's the coolest thing ever! I love her designs! The print is so tropical and screams summer which is why this month's theme is "Pretty in Paradise". Check it out!

Not a bad month at all. I love the variety for June. Everything is perfect for this season. This month I received approximately $39 worth of products. I love that Ipsy always has a great value towards their subscription which only costs $10 a month. I also received four full sized products this month which is great!

NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair
Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
Be A Bombshell Lash Out Mascara
Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray
OLEHENRIKSEN truth to go wipes

My favorite this month hands down has got to be the beach spray. It smells absolutely amazing that I can't stop spritzing it in my hair. Even though it's travel size, it should last for quite more uses. Now that doesn't mean that everything else sucks. This bag was actually rather amazing with just maybe one or two exceptions.

The one disappointment is between the mascara and the lip gloss. I absolutely love the lip gloss's smell as it smells super sweet almost like a pastry but I'm really not interested in the brand or the color. Now, the mascara has a horrible smell as if almost toxic. I highly doubt I'll be using it because it just smells so unnatural. I'm also not shocked about receiving the Be A Bombshell brand. It's getting quite boring now.

The eyeliner was great and I was actually running low on black liquid eyeliner so I got quite lucky. I've never heard of Jesse's Girl before but I don't mind trying new things. It's not the highest quality of eyeliner but it does get the job done and stays put.

I was really happy to receive the OLEHENRIKSEN wipes. I've seen them around in Sephora but never had a chance to splurge on them. The pack comes with 10 wipes which is great to keep in your handbag or gym sack. I love face wipes because they definitely come in handy through out the day when you're having a make up emergency.

Ipsy has not let me down this month for sure. I'll surely be looking forward to next month. Hopefully another cool collaboration will be announced in the future. I can't wait! Become a glam bag subscriber today. It's totally worth it! :)
