Tumblr!

(Image via Google)

I'm becoming tumblr inspired once again. Before I've started my many blogs, I do remember running an awesome tumblr account. I, however no longer have access to it since I can't remember if I completely abandoned it, deactivated it, or deleted it since becoming a blogger on this platform. Those were surely the good old days and I think it's time that I reunite and create a new tumblr

Now of course I won't abandon my blog or anything crazy like that. In fact, I think I have a good idea! I'll be using tumblr to express myself with still photography while my blog will contain more detailed expressions. Now it's an idea in the making so it surely won't happen overnight but I did make sure to create my account before my username gets taken. :)

Maybe I'll start progressing more for the new year. We'll surely have to sit back and see. In the meantime, have a great Monday!

5 More Days!

(image via Pinterest)

Can you believe it? Only five more days until Christmas! I'm very unprepared this season but that's surely ok for now. I'll be celebrating the holidays a bit late with my family since I'm away for vacation but that won't make it any less fun. I hope everyone is having an awesome time! I'll definitely be taking advantage of my time off from classes while I can because I really needed it. In the meantime, have an awesome holiday!

Oh What a Time to be Frugal!

There sure is a time for everything!

Before I jetted off for my vacation a few days ago, I did make sure to pop into my local Dollar General to pick up a few essentials for my dorm bathroom because you can never have too many Scott products in my case!

I've been using Scott products for a long time it seems. I believe I picked up the habit from my mom since I had zero experience on what to purchase for a household/dorm room. During this trip I went down a different route. Usually I'd purchase Scott's extra soft toilet paper but this time I've decided to give the Scott 1000 a try. It's crazy how much toilet paper three girls can go through in a week, and there is a pretty good chance that I may end up with a roommate next semester so I wanted something that will last a bit longer for us without losing the great quality. I don't think Scott 1000 will fail!

I also have my moments where I can be very frugal. It wasn't a surprise that I instantly downloaded the Dollar General app for my phone where I was able to load coupons for my purchase! I was able to save $2 during my trip today which as a college student can definitely be helpful. Hey, that's an extra $2 for gas haha.

And to my surprise, I learned that Scott also makes paper towels! I did not hesitate to pick up a pack since it was included in my savings on the DG app. The more the merrier. I encourage everyone to stock up while they can at their local Dollar General because for a limited time, Dollar General will be having bonus packs on select Scott products and you can earn savings towards your purchase.

In order to redeem your coupons first you'll have to sign up for the DG app, create an account and load the Scott coupons you'd like to use, and then visit your local Dollar General to redeem the coupons at checkout. But you'll surely have to hurry because the coupons are only valid now until December 31st but the bonus packs will be in store through the end of February 2016!

Get stocked up before the New Years and save in the mean time too!

Finals week is finally over, winter break has begun and I've relocated myself to Canada for the next few weeks. I've recently landed and am exhausted from the early morning flight. I'm in desperate need of a good night sleep and although the afternoon has technically just begun due to time zone, I think that time is now. My camera is with me in hopes to have a few blog drafts and photos planned in the near future so I'll try my best to keep you guys updated along the way. In the mean time, check out my traveling snaps on snapchat to keep up to keep posted.

It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas!

So last night Andrew and I decided to head downtown and take a break from prepping for finals because no one wants to be super stressed out during finals week. Especially not me! We took a stroll along the riverwalk and it was a good thing I had my camera with me because it was so pretty!

There were lights up nearly everywhere and sadly I wasn't able to catch them all considering that I was too busy just taking in the view for myself. I haven't been down to the riverwalk in a while because usually I feel as if I don't really have the time to explore off of my campus very often.

But it was a good I did! I could take this view in every night but it was freezing outside so our trip didn't really last long but it ended on a good note with some fresh baked pizza and lemonade because what's better than that? Now wish us luck during finals week!

I'm Going to Canada!

If the title didn't ruin the surprise, read it again.

Yes, you've read that right. I've finally been able to figure out some plans for my upcoming winter break vacation that's coming up in literally a few days. I'll be going to Canada! I know I'm leaving the cold weather here in Colorado for possibly some more cold weather but it feels great to be leaving the country and getting away for a few weeks. Although it was a last minute decision, I'll be prepping as much as possible before I take off.

Now to study for my finals, so wish me luck! I can't wait to be done with this semester. It's feeling like a drag.

#GetBundled

It's that time of the year again!

Sadly my Thanksgiving break is over, it's the last day of November and I'm back on my university campus getting prepared for finals. I was shocked to arrive back to see snow here in Pueblo which is sort of rare considering that it's usually a lot warmer here than in Colorado Springs where my home is so I guess it's safe to say that winter is very close.

Well that just means that it's now time to break out the UGG boots, knitted sweaters and leggings, and set up my laptop for Netflix while sipping hot cups of coffee while I wait for these last two weeks to go by before winter break!

Bring it on!

Clean Up

So I happened to be messing around with my template today and made a few mistakes which led to a minor clean up. So far I was able to reduce some of the content that I felt was bombarding the blog and I'm hoping to have some revolutionary changes coming soon once I'm actually able to get back on track. Hope you guys don't mind! I hope to get posting again soon!

Eat Up!

It's Getting Cold Outside!

Yes, this is coming to you live from my home here in Colorado Springs!

It's getting colder by the day which means sooner rather than later all of the fun will be happening indoors. However, this doesn't mean that life is over and you certainly don't have to be bored out of your mind this winter!

I'm sure at some point in our lives we've been eager to binge watch some of our favorite shows but realized that we didn't necessarily want to spend some extra cash paying for a streaming subscription service, and we definitely didn't want to wait week after week just for one episode! Or is that only me?

Well that's about to change with NBC's new idea of TVEverywhere. Watching your favorite NBC TV shows are about to get a lot easier. All you have to do grab your laptop, maybe even a hot cup of coffee and a cozy blanket, find your favorite TV show and press play!

Full episodes are available the day after they air and you're also given the option to live stream some of your local NBC stations in select markets. The greatest part of all is that with NBC's TVEverywhere, you don't need a TV provider login (or a TV!). But, if you do have a TV provider login, you'll be able to access the latest episodes of ALL NBC shows the day after they air on TV which is a huge bonus, but if you don't, it's ok, you'll still be able unlock new episodes 8 days after they've aired on TV.

Lately, I've been catching up on The Voice because I'm all about the competition, the vocals, and it's pretty funny to watch the celebrity coaches. But you can catch up on some of your favorite NBC shows also, such as The BlacklistHeroes RebornChicago FireChicago Med, and Chicago PD!

So forget about hitting record on that little box (whatever it's called!) next to your TV and enjoy the warmth of your bed for a few hours while watching one of NBC's awesome shows!

Black Friday Prep!

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Black Friday because it tends to bring out the worst in people, however, I am a huge fan of sales! Since Black Friday is approaching pretty soon, I figured I'd start scouting around online for dibs on any upcoming sales so that I can shop from the comfort of my home rather than with the chaos in stores. Weirdly enough, most retailers have already published their ads, and some have even started their sales super early. I'm in definite need of vamping up my winter wardrobe so I'm on the hunt for sweaters, scarves, and anything cozy. Below I'll be listing a few previews of already announced Black Friday offers at some of my favorite stores!

Fall/Winter Wishlist!

Now that the seasons are finally catching up here in Colorado, it's about that time to evaluate a new wardrobe update. I've been eyeing tons of products that would be great for the transition of fall and winter and I'm willing to share a few along the way! From comfy chunky knits to super cute handbags. I want it all!

Marc by Marc Jacobs and MCM
Aren't these the cutest crossbody bags ever? I practically live for crossbody bags as they're generally my go to when it comes to handbags. I've noticed the trend of miniature backpacks certainly coming to play lately and I'm practically hooked. I love the Marc by Marc Jacobs Domo Cross Biker and at only $248 it's not an outrageous investment however, the MCM Bebe Boo Backpack is to die for, not to mention that the price can certainly kill my wallet at $1450.

UGG Australia and Hunter
It's nearly impossible for me to complete a winter season without a pair of UGGs. They're super cozy and keep my feet warm all day in any amount of snow. Although they are pretty common, you cannot go wrong with a pair of classic UGG Classic Tall boots and at $195 it's totally worth it because they basically last until you're ready for a new pair. Whether mini, short or tall, they all get the job done and that's keeping your feet comfy, trust me I've tried them all. Hunter Original Tall Rain Boots are also very iconic because they tend to be worn basically all year. You can spoof them up this fall/winter with a pair of cozy boot socks and you're good to go. They're a bit cheaper than UGGs at only $150 but they can handle rain, snow, mud, and more!

H&M and Topshop
Fall and winter would not be complete without sweaters. It's sweater weather for a reason! The H&M Knit Sweater is basically a steal at only $19.99 (I may just have to order it myself ASAP). I love the natural color and the pattern. The Topshop Stripe Knit Jumper By Boutique is a lot pricey in comparison at $135 but by the looks of it, it seems fluffier and warmer and has an alpaca blend.

Now, I'm not looking forward to freezing this season but I still can't wait to do some major shopping that is very much needed this time around!

What do you all think?

Progress!

I don't necessarily want this to be a rant but I am deeply upset with myself when it comes to blogging. I've been passionate about blogging for years, even before this particular blog's time and I know that I promised back in July that I'll be more active but it has really become a lot harder to manage college and blogging, however, I don't want that to be an excuse for not blogging as often as I'd hope. I think about my blog on a daily basis and I would like to get back to the days where I was able to post daily. I'm hoping that time will come sooner than later and hopefully you all will stick around to see the day! I'll be trying my best for sure so stay tuned!

Lush Obsession! III

This month I was able to score the bb seaweed and oatifix masks from Lush! I've been convincing myself that this is a good obsession that I've got going on so far. And now I've managed to have enough pots to bring back from a redemption of a free mask!

Out of the two, bb seaweed definitely has won my heart hands down. It has a much smoother texture, is easy to distribute on my face and soothes my skin. I personally love seaweed as a snack so it was interesting to try something new with the ingredient.

The oatifix mask is certainly different. I, however, do not like the fact that it's a bit greasy once distributed on my face and it feels as if it takes year to rinse off. BUT, I do love the smell. For some reason it smells like banana bread possibly due to the blend of bananas as one main ingredient which kind of sort of makes me want to eat my face haha.

Sadly the prices have increased for the fresh face masks but not to the point that it'll stop me from investing because I do love what the Lush company stands for with their products so I think it's safe to say that I'll be a loyal customer!

My Favorites from the Spring 2016 Fashion Shows!

Chanel Spring 2016

Louis Vuitton Spring 2016
Alexander Wang Spring 2016
(Images via Vogue)

Hey everyone! It's a lovely day outside but sadly I'm stuck inside doing laundry and homework on campus. Yes, I know, pretty boring. However, I am sort of multi-tasking on social media and *happened* to stumble upon the gorgeous looks from the Spring 2016 fashion shows. If only I had the opportunity to attend one of these in real life, it would be a dream! But since that's totally not happening anytime soon I did use some of my time to browse through a lot of the looks through fashion magazine social media sites and Instagram.

I completely fell in love with Chanel's airline theme and of course because it's Chanel. I tried my best to narrow down my top four favorites from Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Alexander Wang. Let me know what you think! I already can't wait for spring all over again.

Perfect Match

Have you met THE one yet?

I like to think that opposites attract. I know that's surely the case with Andrew and I. I'm really into fashion and journalism hailing from New York City while he's into medical and video games from Germany. For those of you who may not know about my relationship status, Andrew and I have been dating for almost three years now so I'll give you a quick break down, interview style, on just random facts about us!

Krissy: Where did we first meet?
Andrew: High school, in P.E. class.

Andrew: What made you want to talk to me?
Krissy: You seemed quite interesting and I was a new student at the time so I wanted to get to know more about you without coming on too strong.

Krissy: What is your favorite thing we've ever done together?
Andrew: Play badminton.

Andrew: What's your favorite memory of us?
Krissy: That's hard, I really liked our weeklong vacation in Los Angeles this past summer!

Krissy: Describe me in one word.
Andrew: Scrub

Andrew: What about me would you consider the most attractive?
Krissy: Your personality is everything! :)

Ok, now back to reality. I want to know what YOU guys think when it comes the idea of the "perfect match". I know for me it's generally all about personality because hey, looks can change overtime. I really love that I can be super comfortable around Andrew and just be myself. I think that's the best quality to feel around someone because who wants to be in an uncomfortable relationship where they have to feel as if they should be impressing their significant other?

And for those of you who don't think you've found your perfect match yet, that's totally ok! Did you know that there's a tv show dedicated to finding your perfect match? Yep, you read that right. It's MTV's Are You The One? Andrew and I had a chance to check it out and we surely had a good laugh!

In the show there are 10 males and females who are secretly matched to each other but have to figure out on their own who their perfect match is. If you have cable, be sure to take advantage of watching the show live on Wednesday's at 10/9c and participate and play the #AYTO game where one lucky viewer will be chosen to win a trip for two to Hawaii! If you don't have cable, no worries; episodes are available on MTV's website the day after they air. Personally I think Chuck and Hannah are perfect for each other!

You can check out the official trailer for season 3 below!

If you love reality tv, you'll surely love this!

Homecoming Vox Box!

I received this product for review purposes

Hey you all!

I know it seems like I haven't published a review post in forever! Yes, I've purposely done that so that I'm able to express myself beyond just review posts. However, this one is going to be a bit different because this box has a lot of personality and I surely enjoyed it!

Introducing the Homecoming VoxBox from Influenster!

This box was lots of fun because it was totally unexpected. From candy to skincare, the options were all pretty random but that's what made this box special in its own way.

This box screamed "awesome care package" all in one. First up you have Red Vines Twists, Kettle Brand Potato Chips, Luden's Throat Drops, Olay Active Botanicals face cleanser, and SinfulColors SinfulShine nail polish and top coat.

The candy twists reminded me of my childhood favorites of Twizzlers. This one however had a different taste and texture that I instantly was hooked to.

I enjoyed these Kettle Brand chips with a veggie burger and they were amazing! It had the perfect crunch and enough spices and flavor to keep me satisfied. Greatest addition to my veggie burger dorm room living style.

I haven't yet tried the throat drops since I'm my throat isn't achy or anything so these will be stored in my room for my sick days once the fall season rolls around.

I'm usually never disappointed in Olay products so it was no surprised that their cleanser turned out to be a great one for my face. I generally used it to get off my eye makeup since it's a gel cleanser and it also worked well with my Clarisonic and did not irritate my skin.

These SinfulColors nail polishes are just proof that SinfulColors has come a long way. The polishes are apart of their new collection "SinfulShine" which include gel tech in their two step manicure process. You start step one by applying two coats of SinfulShine nail color and then seal with SinfulShine top coat for added shine and wear.

I loved the variety that Influenster included in this box and literally everything in this box was something that I've never tried before so the experience was definitely worth my wild. I hope in the near future that I'll be able to try another one of their cool curated boxes!

Junk Food Needed!

Hey you all!

I can't believe that I've been in college for almost a month already. This means that summer is basically almost over at this point. Boo! Today I was able to complete one of my classes which knocks it off of my schedule for good. Sadly I won't be complete with the semester until December.

I've decided to share a couple of random junk food snaps off of my phone to keep the summer flow going before autumn gets here. Don't those donuts just look soooo delicious?!

And why yes I do not include chocolate when I make s'mores which is a bit weird but hey that's me! I hope you all are having an awesome day. I'm off to finish up some homework because a day in a typical students' life is just super busy. Hopefully I'll have some free time eventually. One can only hope!

Lush Obsession! II

My journey is continued!

Due to my falling in love with Lush's wonderful fresh face masks, I'm now on a journey to try them all! Last month I literally had the best experience ever with trying the cupcake and cosmetic warrior face masks. If I had to pick a favorite out of the two it would probably be cosmetic warrior. My face has cleared up a lot ever since and I would have tried these beauties a lot sooner if I would have known! Now this post is not "sponsored" so it's not my duty to convince you to head on over to Lush but I do highly recommend from the bottom of my heart that you won't be disappointed if you do.

Here we have the love lettuce mask. When I put this one on I like to think of myself as the hulk haha. It's an awesome exfoliator using ground almonds instead of those weird micro plastic beads in most masks. I love to use this one right before bed with its calming lavender oil. It's also great for oily skin which shows up pretty commonly on my combination skin. So far with trying all of the face masks, my sensitive skin has been pretty tolerant so no worries there!

I was super excited to pick up this mask because it was sold out on my initial trip to Lush. What's really got me hooked on it is the fact that it contains blueberries! I absolutely love blueberries but have never tried them on my face but so far they're nice!

I'll definitely have to use up another weekend to head on over to Lush to grab a couple more fresh face masks once these two are out. I'm still debating what to try next but I surely can't wait!
