Graze Box Review #1

Ok, so I'm getting hooked on subscription boxes. I love the little surprises that show up in the mail with my name on it. It's just all so exciting! Here's my newest edition:

This is the Graze nibble box where you can choose from over 90 healthy, tasty nibbles every month (or every two weeks if you'd like) at only $6 a box. Every Graze snack has an healthy benefit whether it's under 100 calories or a great source of protein.

The fun part is, you get to pick out everything you'd like to try (or love already if you tried it before). You can customize your treats from "trash it" to "love it" and they'll mail out 4 of your favorites at random in every box. They do have expiration dates for each package. So far the closest date I recieved was almost a month in advance so it's safe.

I've gotta say my first box was great and I'm definitely looking forward to more. Each package is a serving size. My favorite nibble so far was the apple and cinnamon flapjacks! They were so chewy and sweet and just had a delightful flavor that I wanted to savor forever. Too bad I didn't eat them all; I was nice enough to share the experience with my siblings. Highly recommend. :)

Graze also has its perks. There's a program call the FRIENDCODE where you can invite your friends to join graze. By using the friendcode you can get your 1st and 5th box free with no commitment and you can cancel at any time! Sadly the limit is four friends. I'd be giving away my code to the lucky four readers to sign up first.

Directions:
1. Go to graze.com
2. Enter the code: KRISTA4KP
3. Tell them what you like and where you're located.

Also, here's just some nutrition facts about the treats I've received this month. Definitely won't be feeling guilty!

School.

Just another school week doing more school work. Not a bad thing after all when I'm loving my grades this year! Also I can't wait to start applying for colleges. Still unsure of where I want to go but I do want to explore something new. I think I know what I want to major and minor in. Maybe some English and Journalism will do.

I can't believe October is almost over. So crazy how much time is flying by. Hopefully I can stay on track and not get behind on anything due to the fast pace.

By the way, I have over 300+ followers on twitter thanks to you guys! Keep following and keep up with the blog @KrissyDeane.

Boring!

Well this weekend was fantastic!

By the way that was just some good old sarcasm. This weekend has been in fact VERY boring. I did absolutely nothing besides play video games literally everyday. Today will just be a chill day where I clean up and relax. I finally got to catch up some new Gossip Girl episodes on Netflix which was nice. I love that show!

Well, tomorrow is Monday and that starts another school week. This Thursday is Halloween so I'm looking forward to that.

Also there's only a few more days left to enter for the Julep introductory box. *Enter Here* You could be lucky!

I'm Back!

Ok I'm sorry to all my daily readers for the lack of posts. I really am dedicated to posting daily and will definitely start hopefully this week. I miss posting and I need a break from everything else. I have tons of stuff to share with you guys. Tune in and catch up!

Daily Monday.

I get the whole idea on "everyone hates Monday's" and I can usually agree.

I'm piled with chemistry homework and instead of completing my task, I'm distracted reading my new Allure Novemeber issue and taking notes on how to get a clean face. Who's in for dewy clear skin this winter?! I know I am. Besides that, my school weeks are always busy which totally sucks. This weekend I definitely plan on going out and maybe even having some sort of suprise with my boyfriend. Hopefully I can survive this week.

Love With Food - October 2013

So I've decided to try yet another new subscription box called "Love With Food". This box is all about discovering new organic and all natural snacks that will be delivered right to your door. The cool thing about this box is that it's only $10 a month and for every box you receive, Love with Food will donate a meal to a hungry child. I love giving back! You will also receive cool coupons towards purchasing some of your items or another healthy, natural snack.

Ok, so I'm a VERY picky eater so I decided to share most of the items in this box with my siblings and friends to get other feedback to be fair.

So far, starting from the bottom left to right I received toasted coconut chips by Dang. These chips did taste quite like coconut but had a strange after-taste so it definitely won't be my favorite. I did like how these chips were shaped into strips and were toasted and not your ordinary potato chip. My siblings also tried it and ate them all so I'm guessing they were yummy to them.

Next was the Happy Squeeze Organic Veggie Blueberry Twist. I love love loved this! It's like blended fruit and veggies into this mixture all in a pouch. I love my veggies and fruits so trying this was no big deal to me. I drank this in school after gym and it was just nutritious and delicious. Definitely will recommend to anyone with kids or yourself, especially when you have a hard time eating your fruits and veggies. You can't go wrong with Happy Squeeze. All Organic and natural!

I also tried the Silk City Snacks 100 Calorie Chocolate Pizzelle Crisps. My friends and I both tried this and we weren't too happy. The taste was pretty bland and dry but the waffle texture was cool. Good nutritional value but just not a great taste.

Next in the packet are the Pixo Pearls which I received in apple cider vinegar. I do not like apple cider vinegar in any way so I had my siblings try this with a snack and they hated it also. The pearls are really soft and sort of burst flavor in your mouth. I would just recommend this to any who actually LIKES apple cider vinegar.  :)

I thought the Caveman Cookies were really cool especially for halloween and they sent me two! I shared these with my siblings also and they didn't mind it at all. It was soft and chewy and have a sort of sweet taste. Wasn't the sweetest of cookies but it is organic so there was no artificial sweeteners which is great.

Starting at the top from left to right are 2 packs of Glee Gum I received. I got the flavor triple berry which was actually pretty yummy. I chew gum on a daily basis so it wasn't a big deal for me to try. One downside to this gum was that the flavor isn't very long lasting. Literally about 2 minutes later the flavor was gone. Other than that I like the fact that this gum is way healthy than my normal pack of Trident.

Lastly I received some Organic Hard Candies by Torie and Howard which I've gotta say are the yummiest organic candies I've ever had. I loved these that I actually ate all 3 that they sent me. I usually don't like hard candies but the flavors were irresistible. I had the flavors pomegranate & nectarine, and blood orange & honey. Delicious! Would definitely want to try again.

For some strange reason I did not receive the Kind bar but it's alright. Maybe next time.

Here is a simple description of everything in my box:

Catch Up.

So I know I've been slacking on posts due to the amount of schoolwork I've been given. I'm sorry! :( But hey, my grades are looking really good right about now. All A's and barely any B's. I've been trying to keep all A's but it's so hard especially during my senior year with all of the busy work.

I've all been getting a bit stressed about finding colleges to go to but I think I've officially decided to go back home to New York City to pursue the rest of my education and possibly my future career. Just need to figure out which college I would like to attend. More applications need to come my way!

Also this past Saturday was my Homecoming Ball at my school. My date, (my boyfriend) of course and I had such a good time just dancing to music and having fun with all of our friends. Afterwards we decided to go to IHOP for some breakfast even though it was around 10pm. Yum!

Very recently (actually yesterday) I have decided to apply for a barista job at Starbucks. Definitely would love having a job, especially since it'll be my first. Plus I absolutely love Starbucks. Who doesn't?! Hopefully I'll be put in for consideration and actually get the job. :)

Birchbox - October 2013

I can't believe I'm on my fifth box so far with Birchbox. This month's theme is Beauty Buzz. Here's a peek:

October is all about award winners, celeb favorites, up-and-comers and products that basically everyone can't stop buzzing about.

This is what's included in my box this month:

I love this box! One of the best I've received in awhile honestly. I've gotta say that my favorite was actually the Chapstick which is what I least expected. It's called the Chapstick Hydration Lock and it's just amazing. It leaves your lips so smooth (which I love) and smells great. The flavor is vanilla creme and it's to die for. It's a Birchbox "find" and is out of stock at the moment but you can join a waitlist. (They also sent me a $1 off coupon for another, definitely will be using!)

Next up is the Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up which is an under eye concealer. I received the shade in Dark/Deep which is probably slightly too dark for my face but other than that the concealer isn't bad. I've never used concealer in general so I don't have a great insight on how good they can be. So far it doesn't brighten my eyes only because the shade is a bit dark but I'm pretty sure it would work on the correct skin tone. It does feel hydrating and not too thick under my eyes which I'm sure is a good thing. Thumbs up!

Off to the next best thing which is the Karuna Clarifying Treatment Mask. This mask is sooooo relaxing. I love masks dearly but can never really find any that suit my needs. This mask is an all natural cloth mask that heals acne which is great because I'm such an average teen that experiences break outs. :(

Lastly is the Bain de Terre Macadamia Oil Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner. I found this to be sort of average since I'm not the biggest fan of shampoos and conditioners. This specific brand is paraben-free, color safe and is infused with argan, macadamia and monoi oils to soften your hair. Sounds great and will be giving it a try.

Overall I'm super happy. This has definitely made up for last month's box. Looking forward to next month's.

Here's everything that was included in my box to shop for as full size items in the Birchbox shop:

Abe's Market - Discover Natural Box

Now this is a really cool box. Abe's Market is basically like your Whole Food's but with so much more.  Everything is natural or organic or just good for you altogether. This specific box is a Discover Natural Box where for only $5 you can choose 3 samples of your choice plus you'll receive a $5 coupon for your next order at Abe's Market (cannot be used towards another discover natural box). Also shipping is free and very fast too!

In my box I chose 3 samples of candy (gummy bears, sour berry bears, and organic jelly beans; all 0.9 oz) from the brand Surf Sweets. I tend to have a sweet tooth but is picky with my candy (just like my food). I learned that all of Surf Sweets candy are all natural and some are even organic which is amazing. They are all made with organic fruit juice, has no artificial colors and flavors, free of corn syrup and GMOS, are made in a nut free facility, gluten free and last but not least have an excellent source of Vitamin C. Now that's some yummy candy.

Also the size packs aren't super tiny, I shared them with my siblings and they loved them. They're really yummy and totally not gross even with being made with only natural ingredients. Also they're low in calories (per pack about 80-90 calories). I highly recommend to people of all ages with a sweet tooth. The bears are chewy but not too hard while even the jelly beans are soft and chewy too. I don't think I've experience one that tasted bad. Overall I think the sour berry bears were the best. Not too sweet but also not too sour.

One thing about the box is that you cannot reorder the same samples again. You'll have the option to buy it full size or you can try some of the other samples. Remember, 3 samples of your choice for only $5! I'll definitely be considering to get these full size since they were super delicious.

Soap.com - Review

For those of you who don't know about soap.com, it's basically a website for all your daily essentials. I picked up this site from NYC subway ads that I constantly used to see. I finally decided to place an easy lazy order (I didn't want to go to my nearby Target and actually search for these items) to see what the process is like.

Above are the items that I purchased from soap.com. First (from left to right) is a Neutrogena facial cleansing bar for acne-prone skin. Second is a Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm tin and last is a Biore acne clearing scrub. Just some simple stuff to keep in my bathroom. All these items are available at my local Target but I just wanted to see a comparison with prices and save driving time. Purchasing these items at soap.com with their lovely coupons (20% off your first order, $2 off Biore acne clearing scrub) was easy and only took 3 days to get here. Honestly I didn't exactly save much ordering online because it was a small order but it is easier to search up your items than looking in the aisles, especially when you don't have the time.

Soap.com order: $12.59 + $5.99 Shipping (Free with orders $35+) - $4.12 (coupons)
Target: $12.72 + Tax

Now I would recommend using soap.com for basic needs and orders over $35 so that you save with shipping and possibly with coupons. They literally have almost every basic essential that you need at hand and the shipping speed is great. If you need it ASAP then it'll be best to go out and actually buy it then and there. I think I'll be placing another order some day. I'm a very satisfied customer. :)

Julep - Classic With a Twist (Intro Box)

Yay! I decided to try something new besides my normal Birchbox. Introducing the Julep Maven box. I purchased the Classic With a Twist intro box which includes two limited edition nail polishes and one full size beauty product.

So far for only $19.99 a month (plus $3.99 shipping for first box) includes over $40+ worth of full size items (besides the extra surprise). I have a nail polish obsession so I definitely will be using everything in this box.

This box included Claudette (smoky brick red creme color), Helen (smoky pastel lavender creme color), Mint Condition Pedi Creme, and an Instant Warming Foot Scrub as a extra. I also purchased Gabrielle (smoky mulberry creme color) as an extra because the color seemed like something I don't usually see too often.

I had a hard time choosing an introductory box because I either loved a specific color in a certain box but wasn't too pleased with the other so decided something else. When I took the quiz I got placed as a Classic so I stuck with it. I'm not disappointed at all. So far the polish isn't watery or too thick and the brushes are just right. Reminds me a bit of OPI brushes but just a tad bit more pricey. The colors are nice and the polish itself is pretty top notch.

All Maven members receive 20% on all orders purchased at Julep.com plus free shipping.

As a surprise since I really do like this box I will be doing a giveaway on an introductory (surprise style) box to one lucky winner! Enter here!
