I've been waiting to do this unboxing for over a month now! I was super excited to place this order at the start of the new year as I've been anxiously searching for a jewelry company that makes real gold pieces at a
reasonable price. Yes, I'll admit, I've been influenced mainly by Instagram and Youtube, which landed me over at
Mejuri, but let me tell you something, I'm not disappointed!
Normally I'm a silver jewelry kinda gal. My obsession with Tiffany & Co has since declined (thankfully), and I've been really into the look of gold pieces, especially on my complexion. I remember owning gold jewelry as a kid and regret not keeping them around for times like these. So here's to the start of a new collection.
The first piece I was able to snatch up was this
baby box chain necklace. One thing I've noticed about Mejuri is how dainty and minimalist their designs are, which happens to suit my style perfectly. The necklace is 14K yellow gold and can be adjusted between 16-18 inches. I love how light and fine it is, and it's a classic staple that won't go out of style. I've been considering a pendant, but honestly, I love the way the chain looks on its own, very simple and chic!
The next piece that I purchased was the stacker ring. This ring is also in 14K yellow gold. I was surprised by how thin it was and thought I would be let down, but once I placed it on my finger, it turned out to be the perfect, minimal piece for everyday wear!
Now onto the brand itself. Mejuri offers fine jewelry at affordable prices in small batches, so if you see something you like, I highly suggest grabbing it immediately to avoid any backorders or waitlists. You can choose to shop for 14k yellow or white gold, gold vermeil, or sterling silver when looking at pieces.
I absolutely loved the packaging, I've seen orders come all in one box, but since one of my items was back-ordered at the time of purchase, I received my pieces in two separate packages. The jewelry boxes are placed inside what look like mini dust bags, and inside the boxes, you'll find a polishing cloth, storage strips, and a velvet pouch.
