Transitioning to Fall

In Colorado, you usually can't tell what season it is by just glancing outside your window. I've already had my taste of long chilly days and nights since August! Now that September is coming to an end and October is quickly coming up, it's time for that transition that some probably can't wait for or that others of us have been dreading. The question is: are you ready?

During the fall season, I believe that when the leaves change colors, so do we! Mix and matching warm, cool tones with dark undertones is absolutely normal in my opinion. It's also the time of year to be super comfortable in those cozy oversized sweaters and cute boots that's been stored at the back of our closets waiting to be retrieved once again.
Today however I'm thinking a slight bit differently. I'm teaming up with Julep, to help you all get ready to transition to fall if you haven't done so already! And I'm not just talking about your clothes, your nails matter too! The summer to fall shades I chose to focus on are "Maddy" which transitions to "Clara".

As you all may know, I'm all for pinks. I can't imagine giving up pink polish throughout any season so you shouldn't be surprised that I ended up with a neutral peachy color which may be the closest shade to pink that I can get. Clara is a total "It Girl" opaque peach creme. It's a soft color that anyone can get away with wearing. I recreated a sort of classic, casual look (pictured above) for fall using my favorite store pieces from H&M, and mixing in Julep's one and only "Clara" of course for a feminine touch. The colors camel, black and a touch of peach really describes my style shade for fall.

Pictured above are more of Julep's color transitions from summer to fall whether it's from a bright tomato red or transitioning to a subtle taupe. What do you think? Happy Sunday!

College is in like a week and a half and I'm counting down because I'm sort of really excited! I cannot wait to see my room and decorate it. Just like last Sunday, I still have tons of shopping to catch up on but not as much which is a good thing. Almost all of my necessities have been purchased and I'm hoping to at least be done with all of my shopping by the end of this week. Today I decided on another #OOTD post because it's a relaxed kind of day!

If you guessed that this is another H&M outfit, you totally guessed right. I've literally had an H&M summer haul so there are so many outfits to mix and match that I wanted to share. Above I fell in love with the t-shirt instantly because it reminds me so much of Mean Girls but in a more positive way. The t-shirt is super soft and perfect for a chill day and can be paired with anything.

Next I matched it with a silver faux leather skirt. I actually saw this outfit pieced together this way on an ad with Ashley Benson for H&M Divided a while back. I thought it was too cute so I had to have an exact copy before it was out of stock. What's better than a Sunday funday? Nothing comes to mind, haha. :)

Have a great weekend!

First Sunday of August! Woo!

It's such a relaxing day today. College is in less than three weeks and I still have tons of shopping to catch up on. I've already even received my bills for my tuition for the first semester. Gosh! But I won't let that stress me out just yet. Instead I'll make today a stress free day and start off with a simple #OOTD post.

I probably don't even have to tell you that this is yet another outfit from H&M. Yes, I'm sure I have endless H&M outfits but I can't help but love that store! Above I decided to put together a simple patterned tank that's made out of an airy woven fabric so it's lightweight and perfect for a sunny day. The straps are adjustable and the tank sports a slight v-neck cut in the front.

Next are the shorts! Yes, those are actually shorts. They're pleated throughout and made out of slightly sheer fabric (don't worry, they're lined with jersey!) and sport an elasticized waistband. I absolutely love these shorts. They're really loose and comfy and since they're black they can be a pretty classic staple piece to any outfit. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a relaxed Sunday and a comfy outfit!

I also thought that I'd share H&M's new magazine with you all. I received this in the mail a few weeks ago and I cannot wait for this upcoming season!

Check out that cute peplum top on the left. Isn't it absolutely adorable! And only $14.95! I can definitely see a shopping haul in my future. Haha, I'll surely keep you all updated. And have a happy Sunday!

How was your weekend?

#OOTD

It's always a good a day for a super cute outfit!

So remember that marvelous sale that H&M and Missguided were having about a week ago? Well it's still going on and it's even better at this moment! I also told myself that I wouldn't take part since I needed to save my money but I just couldn't help it. It was nearly too good to pass up. And then I figured, hey, I might as well share at least one outfit with you guys too. Can't pass up an #OOTD post!

Now both pieces of the outfit pictured above are from H&M. I know it sort of comes off as if I ONLY shop at H&M, but it's not like that all (only a little). They've been my favorite place to shop at since I was a kid and they're literally located all over NYC. The price I paid for this outfit is so ridiculous that I still can't even believe it myself. If you're thinking $20+, you're wrong! See why I couldn't pass up on their sale?

Now to the outfit details!

First off, the tank is pretty basic which was what I was aiming for when I first saw it. The material is rayon so it's pretty soft and lightweight which is perfect for this season. However the ruffles are made out of an airy woven fabric so there's a contrast between the two which adds simple detailing. The shoulder straps are very narrow so it can be a great tank to staple or layer with almost anything.

Now I instantly fell in love with the skirt. Remember: anything floral or pink literally brightens my day. It's made out of the same airy woven fabric as the ruffles on the tank but don't worry, there's much more material so it's not like translucent. It's completely pleated throughout which I consider as a detail. Also the waistband is elasticized so you can pull it up to give it that "it looks like I'm wearing a dress, but I'm totally not" look. Bonus!

Now the shoes are from Missguided which is a popular online shop in the U.K. They also have a U.S./Canada version of their website where you can score free standard shipping on your purchase so of course I had to check them out. Sadly at the time of my purchase the shoes were not on sale but I thought they were the cutest retro looking shoes ever so I had to have them! They're platform sandals which I love since I hate walking on my toes. They're a bit under three inches so they're not insanely high and are actually really comfortable. I believe that the straps are faux leather and the soles sort of feel like a super thick styrofoam but the good part is...they don't feel cheap. I also love that the entire shoe is all one color which was perfect and gave it that mod look.

What do you guys think? Love it or hate it?

P.S. - H&M is currently having a sale up to 75% off and Missguided up to 50% off! I repeat...SALE! :)

Who's Having A Sale?

Oh how I love a good SALE!

Especially one on an absolutely boring day like today. Sadly I haven't been able to do much shopping lately since I promised myself I would save for a new MacBook Pro for college this fall (almost there!). However I am being teased by these amazing sales going on everywhere to the point that I almost can't help myself. Just one outfit and I promise I'll be happy! I'm so jealous that you guys however can enjoy these sales. Below I listed a few that are ongoing right now at my favorite stores. Don't hesitate to help yourself!

#OOTD

Hi there!

Ok so I sort of lied with the title, I'm not actually physically wearing this outfit right now but I did want to share it with you all. It's Sunday, who says today has to be bland? I think that everyday should be bright and fun! I purchased this outfit at H&M about a week or so ago and just fell in love with it and decided, it's a good day for an #OOTD post.

I instantly fell in love with the tank top mostly because of the print. It's vibrant and sunny. When looking at it, I thought I saw sunflowers but maybe it's just my imagination. The one thing I don't like very much is the fit but that can just be the fit on me. It's very loose fitting which I usually love but it's so loose that it's almost impossible to wear without adjusting it very often on my scrawny shoulders and small chest. I still think it's a cute top and if I have to struggle to wear it then albeit!

Another interesting piece is the skort. Yes, I said it. Skort. If you don't know what a skort is, it's typically a combination or look of a skirt in the front but shorts in the back. Overall it's still shorts but designed to have a look of both from separate angles. I haven't worn a skort since elementary school so when I saw that this was turning into a "trend" at H&M, I had to purchase it. It has a concealed zip at the side since it's mostly polyester and doesn't stretch much and fits practically like a mini skirt but you'll be able to bend down since it's shorts! Yay for skorts!

What do you guys think? Love it or hate it?

P.S. - H&M is having an amazing sale at the moment! Check out your local store and grab yourself something cute. :)

Fashion Update

My love for H&M is so real, it's like surreal!

Today was just a casual day. It was so sunny out and actually stayed that way for quite a while which is rare in Colorado Springs. It was like the perfect day for sitting back and soaking up the sun. Sadly, I stayed indoors because my skin got all anti-sun on me. Boo!

But on the brighter side, I received the new H&M magazine in the mail today and was totally excited because once again, I LOVE H&M

I was instantly attracted to the accessories section because it's spring, accessories are a must! The colors and textures are just wonderful. Makes me want to go shopping right away! If only I could. I thought I'd share a glimpse of some of the amazing new products because, why not?

What I really love about H&M are their affordable prices! There are so many deals and the quality is amazing. For example, you can find such cute ballet flats for about $13 or hair accessories from $3. I don't think you can beat that at your average retailer. H&M rocks! :)

P.S - I ordered my prom dress today! I'm so excited. Just 18 more days until prom!

Welcome March!

I can't believe it's March already. That means I'm so much closer to my birthday, prom, graduation, and moving into college. So much in such little time! There's also so much to look forward to in March. Like spring, and flowers, fresh fruit and just new life in general.

What's better than getting rid of winter coats and welcoming all of the spring products, styles and colors! Hello?! This is the time where you can get away with wearing pastels. I'm so excited!

I've already been eyeing some totally new products that I'll share with you guys. From beauty products to fashion wear. Check it out!

Incoco recently revealed their  new spring "Garden Daydreams" collection on Facebook that launches next week and I'm just so thrilled. Ever since I had the chance to review for the company a while back (you can check it out here) I've just been in love with nail polish appliques. I can already see myself sporting the pink one (pictured second from left).

Now how can you not fall in love with these beautiful hair accessories from H&M? I'm all about flowers and can't resist headbands. I love the detailing and of course the gorgeous colors! They're just all too pretty It'll be hard to only get one.

If you thought that gumballs or candy was next, you're absolutely wrong. These beauties are GUERLAIN's new meteorites powder for your face which I spotted over at Sephora. I've never used a product like this before. Each pearl has a different pigment which adds brightness to your skin and minimizes flaws. There are three different pigments to chose from such as Clair, Medium and Dore. I love the fact that each pearl is handcrafted so no two pearls are the same. How crazy is that?

Last but not least is fashion. I'm a lover for Abercrombie & Fitch for their preppy styles as I grew up as a preppy girl in New York City. I also love their more recent casual pieces such as lightweight sweaters, crop tops, natural waist shorts, etc. There's so much materials to choose from like lace, polyester or even jersey. Now most people may get bored of the colors navy blue, white, and grey but lately they've been revealing new colors like coral, turquoise, and even lilac (pictured below)!

Spring has made me too excited to even wait for all of the new arrivals. I can't wait for everything to hit stores. All of the beautiful colors and styles. Just too much to ask for!

What are you excited about for the new upcoming season? :)

We're Almost There!

I believe anything that sparkles, glistens or shines is beautiful. Now that Christmas and the New Year is coming around, it's time to bring it all out. The beginning of the New Year's for me is to shine.

I was doing some online shopping (more like gazing) when I came across some stuff that caught my eye. A few of my favorite online stores (H&M and Sephora) has got me on a tight budget with all the things I want to buy, can afford, and just gotta have. I'm in love! Of course I'll share what I came across and you guys should tell me what you think. Think about sequins, sparkles, glitter, silver, gold, velvet and anything that screams New Year's is here. Eeeeek!

Aren't these just the cutest polishes ever?! The first is the Butter London - The Black Knight and the second is the Deborah Lippmann Shimmer - Dream A Little Dream. I love shimmery and sparkly nail polishes so these caught my eye right away.

Now for the first item are like the cutest velvet leggings ever. It's on sale at H&M for only $10. Such a great deal and so cool! I love the color because this isn't a color that shows up in my wardrobe very often. The middle item is a leather silver skirt. I think it's really cool that the leather is silver and not your generic brown or black. It's $129 but it IS leather so it was sort of expected. Lastly the sweater is only $34.95. I love the fact that the letters are actually metal and have a gold appearance. It's different and would be a great piece to own.

What do you guys think?

Sweater Weather!

Ok, so I told you guys I would've posted about those warm fuzzy sweaters from H&M that I got about a week ago. Well, here it is! I couldn't actually get decent pictures of them in person so I snuck over to H&M's website and took the pictures of the ones I own.

One reason I'm so interested in sharing these with you guys is because winter is almost here and these sweaters are not only fashionably cute but reasonably priced too! I got so many compliments from wearing these specific ones to school due to the style and texture which I love.

Fuzzy Long Turtleneck
Price - $29.95
Available here

Ok, whoever told you that turtlenecks are out, I think they're so in this season. This particular one is a bit loose throughout and the material is super SOFT and so warm. I pulled this off by wearing it as a dress with leggings because it really was long, especially on me since I'm only about 5'7.

Bubbly Yarn Knit Sweater
Price - $12.95
Available here

I loved the fact that this sweater was just so...different. The yarn reminds me of super tiny cotton balls strung together but they're fuzzy and attract people. Literally. I walked around school and everyone just wanted to touch it because it stands out and even looks soft. I felt like a fuzzy lamb. Also dont worry about the knitting, it holds up and still keeps you warm. By the way did you see the price? At only about $13 you cannot go wrong with this!

Here are some H&M models wearing both of the sweaters. The long turtleneck is on the left while the knit sweater is on the right (in red).
