Transitioning to Fall

In Colorado, you usually can't tell what season it is by just glancing outside your window. I've already had my taste of long chilly days and nights since August! Now that September is coming to an end and October is quickly coming up, it's time for that transition that some probably can't wait for or that others of us have been dreading. The question is: are you ready?

During the fall season, I believe that when the leaves change colors, so do we! Mix and matching warm, cool tones with dark undertones is absolutely normal in my opinion. It's also the time of year to be super comfortable in those cozy oversized sweaters and cute boots that's been stored at the back of our closets waiting to be retrieved once again.
Today however I'm thinking a slight bit differently. I'm teaming up with Julep, to help you all get ready to transition to fall if you haven't done so already! And I'm not just talking about your clothes, your nails matter too! The summer to fall shades I chose to focus on are "Maddy" which transitions to "Clara".

As you all may know, I'm all for pinks. I can't imagine giving up pink polish throughout any season so you shouldn't be surprised that I ended up with a neutral peachy color which may be the closest shade to pink that I can get. Clara is a total "It Girl" opaque peach creme. It's a soft color that anyone can get away with wearing. I recreated a sort of classic, casual look (pictured above) for fall using my favorite store pieces from H&M, and mixing in Julep's one and only "Clara" of course for a feminine touch. The colors camel, black and a touch of peach really describes my style shade for fall.

Pictured above are more of Julep's color transitions from summer to fall whether it's from a bright tomato red or transitioning to a subtle taupe. What do you think?
