Parfums de Marly Safanad Unboxing

It's been a few months since I've done an unboxing so I wanted to throw a new one at you guys. This was meant to be apart of my mini luxury haul but I decided to give it it's own little post. What's the saying when you purchase things you absolutely don't need, "treat yourself" right?

As of lately, I've been on the hunt for more luxurious, long lasting fragrances. I've noticed that everyone who is anyone is talking about Parfums de Marly (when they're not talking about Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Baccarat Rouge 540 of course). Delina and its counterparts seems to be the go-to but blindly I decided to pick a scent based solely on the online descriptions and felt Safanad suited me best.

Ok, first up the packaging. I'm a sucker for anything aesthetically pleasing to my eye. This may not be the prettiest packaging I've stumbled upon but I do think it's rather unique. Definitely giving me vintage vibes. The detailing on the glass is nothing I've seen before in my collection, also the roped tassels and gold top gives me an old school feeling. The inside of the box is velvet, a nice touch that goes to show some effort was put forth here!

Now onto the most important part: the perfume. Ok, I'll let this be known that it's my fault for blindly choosing a perfume that I've never smelled in person but I gotta say I was close! It's almost hard to describe but it's definitely on the musky/dark side, something I'd wear at night for sure. I would say it doesn't have as much orange blossom and vanilla as I'd like but it's faintly there. But the scent surely lasts!

You sadly don't have any options when it comes to size. The 75ml/2.5oz bottle is your only choice. A little is sure to go a long way so can't complain. The price point may make you cringe, at $320 a bottle, I almost couldn't justify it but since this wouldn't be one of my everyday go-to's, I can see it lasting a long time. I would highly recommend to scout these out in your local Nordstrom first to get an idea of what scent suits you best. Don't be a Krissy.

I'm starting to believe that your sense truly change with time so I'll be giving this a chance and may even pop into a store to check out the other scents before placing a spontaneous order. I'm targeting fragrances that fall along the niche line so if you have any suggestions, send them my way!
