How I've Been Loving Portland, OR

I thought it was time that I provided you guys with an update. It's been how long? A little over a year since I've moved to Portland and about the same amount of time since I've last talked about it. So here's a quick gist of how it's going.

The city; it's actually pretty chill. I would've never guessed a girl like me, growing up in the concrete jungle would ever even imagine moving here. Pretty sure I didn't know this place existed at one point haha. Not too big, nor too small. There's something calming about living here. It's nearly indescribable but being carefree seems to hits different here. Almost like a peace of mind. It might sound cliché but I'm serious!

The people, ehhhhh. How do you make friends as an adult? AND during a pandemic? It seems near impossible and I've noticed I tend to run into the same kind of people I was avoiding in Colorado. You know, the ones who pretend they want to be your friend but really they don't. The ones who make plans but never follow through. The sucky ones. End of rant. I'm sure we've all been in this position before, but don't stress it! Good people will find you, I like to believe that. Also I probably need to work on my social skills, don't mind me.

The view. Breathtaking. From my balcony to the city, everywhere I turn, Oregon as a whole never fails. I don't think I've seen as much water, greenery, and architecture all in one place before. It's honestly amazing, so much that sometimes I can't believe I'm taking in all in and a camera wouldn't do any justice. It's one of those places where you have to see it to believe it. And yes, it rains often, sadly.

I'll have to put together a post of some cool things to do if you ever decide to take a trip here. From the endless amount of coffee shops (did I mention I solely drink matcha now) to the funky food trucks, coastline, and everything in between. I promise it'd be worth it!

 xox.
