Current Skincare Favorites

Here we have it, another skincare post for the year. I'm not sure when I decided to turn into a skincare junkie, but I'm loving it. I can go on and on about products I love, but this time, I'm giving you something a little different. Instead of diving into my routine, I decided to share some favorite products that I've recently been introduced to. Since moving to Portland, I thought it was time to try new things since my old favorites aren't as effective as they used to be, so here's what I've been loving lately!

1. Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser

  • Shoutout to all of the content creators who have managed to influence me to finally try this cleanser out. What started out as a sample that I redeemed my BI points for at Sephora turned into me dropping some coin for this beauty. The hype is real, and it's worth it. This cleanser gets my face clean without stripping, and I appreciate that it's a clean beauty product. I've noticed my skin leaning towards the oily side lately, and I don't have to worry about my skin being sucked dry with this. It even works well with my Clarisonic. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the aesthetic and glass packaging also didn't influence my purchase, but the clean ingredients are a definite winner.

2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

  • I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this product. I was a bit skeptical at first, but geez, I can't believe I've been missing out. When I tell you, you literally won't need to reapply anything to your lips for hours, I'm telling you! I haven't come to terms with using it in replacement for my regular lip balm since it seems slightly dramatic to walk around with, but it does the job.

3. Topicals Faded Serum

  • I'm so happy I could recently score this at Sephora since it was always sold out when I came across it. Unfortunately, I can't speak on its effectiveness since I recently picked it up, but I can say so far so good. There are no breakouts, and I'm hoping to get my dark spots under control, so wish me luck as I've read great things. Best yet, it's black-owned!

4. Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Facial Barrier Mask

  • This is a mask I typically like to use when I want a "spa" moment. I like to use these when traveling, and they've been great to relax and replenish any moisture I may be lacking. The Ceramidin sheet masks are my go-to's, and I always make sure I'm stocked since they're so hydrating, especially during the winter months.

5. Dr Jart+ Cryo Rubber Mask

  • Something about Dr Jart+ masks puts me in a good mood. They're fun, and the benefits are a plus. I definitely recommend giving any of his masks a try as he has some for nearly every skincare concern; you won't regret it!
So there you have it, my quick list of products I've been a little obsessed with lately. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't more, but I had to start off small without writing a whole novel. All the products mentioned are available at Sephora. Hit me up on my socials if there's anything you'd recommend. I'm all ears when it comes to skincare!
