Baccarat Rouge 540 Unboxing

So you guys are officially getting a sneak peek of one of my birthday gifts to myself. If you didn't know, I'll be turning 25 this Saturday (March 13th) and this year I decided to treat myself to everything (well not everything) my heart desires because why not? One of those things happens to be the highly coveted fragrance: Baccarat Rouge 540. It's ok to scream now.

I thought it'd be fun to give you the full unboxing experience here first. This perfume came all the way from France as I placed my order directly with Maison Francis Kurkdijan Paris. If you're uncomfortable with placing an international order, you can also find this at your local Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, or Saks Fifth Avenue. However, the plus side for ordering directly from the source is you can opt to have your bottle engraved (at an additional cost) and free bonus sample goodies which was my main reason for doing so!

I'm honestly sold on the packaging alone, it's that unreal. Everything was boxed so elegantly. I can't speak on if you'll receive similar packaging if purchased from a North American retailer so that may be another perk for ordering direct!

Now onto the real reason you're here: the perfume. I'm not sure if there is an adequate way to describe this. It smells like you've declared yourself a rich b*tch. As a matter of fact, you are a rich b*tch. Although the fragrance is unisex, I truly believe it lingers more on the feminine side. Sophisticated and classy to say the least. It doesn't stand a chance to any other fragrances I've owned as it's not too sweet but not too woody/musky which tend to be my go-to notes. I would say it's worth the hype but due to the price tag you'll probably want to use this a bit more sparingly.

I purchased the typical 2.4oz size, a bit small for my liking but I've heard a little goes a long way. I also opted to have my name engraved on the bottle as I mentioned earlier to spice things up and make it a bit more personal so if you squint slightly you can see "Krissy" scripted in gold in the picture above. It almost feels like I'm entering adulthood all over again with this perfume. No more smelling like typical caramel candy, but hello luxury.

You'll have to stick around to when I put a dent in this bottle and to see if it ends up making a future favorites post. Stay tuned, and don't forget to spoil yourself!

xox.
