How to Forever Feel Youthful


They say that you’re only as young as you feel, and honestly, there’s a lot of truth to it. Just because you’re a certain age doesn’t mean you need to look, dress, and act like that age- that’s just some ridiculous societal expectation. If you’re in your 30s, it doesn’t mean Game Over for life (even though more than enough memes say so). But it’s totally understandable if you want to feel youthful. While sure, looks are a part of it, like getting rid of fine lines with Sculptra, but that really isn’t it, though. It’s about how you actually feel- both physically and mentally. 

Honestly, there is so much insecurity about aging, but literally everyone ages. Society likes to punish women for it, but literally everyone is doing it! You have the right to feel how you want to feel, and you need to know that age is just a number. You can dress how you want, do what you want, and don’t make your age into some boogey man. 

Staying and feeling youthful is really one of the best ways to not hate your age. This doesn’t entirely mean focusing on skincare or anti aging (though it could). It’s more about getting yourself to keep active, just like youths. So, here’s how you can do it!

Put Physical Activity First in Your Life

One thing you really need to keep in mind is the fact that regular exercise is essentially the cornerstone of maintaining youthfulness. This could be something like brisk walks, strength training, yoga, or any activity you enjoy, but in general, staying physically active contributes to cardiovascular health, flexibility, and overall well-being. 

It’s just best to find activities that bring you joy and make them a consistent part of your routine. You’ll get more energy, and you’ll feel less sore over time, which are two pretty major components of feeling youthful. 

It’s All in the Mindset

Again, you’re only as young as you feel. If you’re in your 40s, and you still enjoy going to the club on a Friday night, then have at it! Want to wear bright colors and prints rather than boring beige? Then do it; no one is stopping you! You seriously need to keep in mind that your mindset has a profound impact on how you perceive yourself and the world around you. 

You’ll need to cultivate a positive mindset, like embracing optimism and focusing on the present moment. While sure it might sound generic or overdone, the advice is tried and true because a positive outlook will absolutely contribute to reduced stress levels to the point where you have a more youthful perspective on life.

If you really think about it, laughter is actually a natural elixir for maintaining a youthful spirit. You think of kids and young adults when you think of laughing, right? No matter how old you get, you can still laugh; a sense of humor never really goes away. So, you’ll need to surround yourself with humor, engage in activities that bring joy, and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself. In general, cultivating a lighthearted approach to life contributes to a positive and youthful mindset.
