You may all be familiar with the brand OtterBox, your number one best selling case for smartphones in the U.S. and Canada. But are you familiar with the brand new Resurgence series power case for your iPhone? Maybe not, but I'm here to explain why this may be the case of your dreams!

I'll start by admitting overall that this case is the power you want and the protection everyone needs. 

The back shell has a foam like cushion that's insulated to protect your iPhone from drops. Sliding the phone into the case and getting it connected to the lightning adapter was probably the easiest part. 

The top polycarbonate shell snaps on the front of the iPhone and also protects your iPhone from scratches, drops, and shocks. My one con about this piece is that it does not include a screen protector such like the previous armor and defender series. 

The back of the case features a nice smooth metallic finish in the color satin rose (pictured above). There are currently three other color options available; black, glacier, and teal shimmer (available for pre-order, coming soon). 

Once the case is put together your iPhone is ready to go with military-rated drop protection. The volume buttons are concealed and protected from signs of wear or use.

The power/sleep button is also protected from damage and functions with the slightest touch ever!

The complete bottom of the phone is concealed which is where the micro USB cord and headphone jack comes into play.

The micro USB cord connects to the case which is technically already connected to your iPhone. Once powered up, the iPhone charges first, then the case begins to charge after the iPhone is fully charged. The Resurgence case itself comes pre-charged (at around 75%). You can check the status simply by touching the LED button in the bottom right corner. It will light up/blink three times and display the power status of the case in 25% increments. If your phone is fully charge, don't worry. Resurgence features auto-stop charge technology to save power for later and is energized by a 2,000 mAh lithium ion battery. In simpler terms, that's more than two times the batter power! Now when your phone is at a fearful 1%, there's no need to faint. Resurgence is to the rescue!

The headphone jack extension is a must in order to use headphones with your iPhone. Now this isn't horrible at all unless you can be a bit careless like me. I was a bit disappointed at first and couldn't get my headphones into the jack without a forceful push. Also I tend to lose small accessories like these and basically if I lose this part I won't be able to use headphones anymore with my iPhone. Total bummer.
