Have you ever heard of the LUNAFEST?
If not, it's totally ok! The LUNAFEST, which was established in 2000 by LUNA is a traveling festival that connects women, their stories, and their causes through film. LUNAFEST can also be used or known for being a "fundraiser-in-a-box", helping hosts raise money for nonprofits in their own communities as well as their main beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Fund. Since it's inception, LUNAFEST has grown from a single annual event to a coast-to-coast force with more than 170 North American screenings each session! To date, 118 filmmakers have been featured, nearly $2.5 million dollars has been raised and thousands of attendees have come away moved, entertained and inspired.

If I have to choose a game changer in my life it would hands down have to be my grandmother. My "granny" has been there for me through thick and thin and always inspires me to be the best that I can be even to this day. Being average is just not enough when everyone has the power to be so much more. My grandmother is currently diagnosed with cervical cancer but that's not stopping her from enjoying life and encouraging me to do the best with mine. She means everything to me and I'm so grateful to know and have a woman like her in my life. Events such as the LUNAFEST really catches my eye because of their amazing backgrounds and contributions to women all over the world.
