Ipsy - September 2014

Woo! My first Ipsy bag while I'm in college has arrived and I'm super excited to open it up and reveal what I received this month. I absolutely love this bag! The metallic silver is definitely a staple and the studs add a bit of street credibility to it. No wonder this month's theme happens to be "Street Style". Check it out!

I gotta admit that I wasn't too excited once I saw the products. Nothing really caught my eye in particular so I can already tell you that there aren't going to be any wow factors throughout this post. However I still managed to receive over $50 worth of products and two full size products this month which is almost no surprise when it comes to Ipsy so I'm surely grateful for that!

Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in Gun Metal
Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair
Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush
Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream
Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser

First up is the eye pencil. I believe that this is my second product from Pacifica that Ipsy provided me. I love eye liners as it's one of my go to products besides mascara and chapstick. I do appreciate that Pacifica is natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. The shade is a sort of dark silvery grey which is probably a color I won't use too often but may come in handy later on for an occasion.

Next up is the Cailyn lip gloss. This happens to be a full size product which I'm not complaining about and I am a fan of classic red lips. I would have much preferred if the lip gloss was a lip tint or even a tinted chapstick since I dislike lip gloss. This lip gloss however is not as sticky as most so it's pretty tolerable and also the color is great.

The brush is not one that I'm fond of since I already have tons of brushes that I don't use because of the limited amount of mineral products I have. I'm really hoping for other tools besides brushes to be introduced to in my bag in the near future.

Hand cream is one that I have to have in my bag at all times especially with the seasons changing. This luxury hand cream made all the way in England is just right! It's lightweight and leaves your hands moisturized and smelling like flowers.

Lastly is the face cleanser. Since I've been in college, I feel as if my face has been getting "gunkier". I'm all for natural products for my face so I was excited when I noticed that this cleanser was organic, chemical free, cruelty-free, and concern free. With just three simple ingredients you can't go wrong! It doesn't really have a scent since it's fragrance-free but it surely gets the job done by leaving you with a fresh, clean face.

Overall, I can say that I was disappointed with Ipsy but I just wasn't too "wowed" by my products. They will surely come in handy at some point so I'll definitely keep them around. Hopefully next month will be much better and I can't wait for sneak peeks already!
